Gātha's planning fee for a Rajasthan destination wedding starts at Rs 2,00,000 for weddings of Rs 30 to 60 lakh, Rs 3,00,000 for Rs 60 lakh to 1 crore, and Rs 5,00,000 for Rs 1 crore and above. It covers design, planning and direction. Venue, décor and vendor costs are separate and shown transparently. The city, venue type, season, guest count and travel move the rest.
What the Rajasthan destination wedding cost is made of
A Rajasthan destination wedding cost has two parts that families often mix together. The first is the planning fee, which pays for design, planning and direction. The second is everything the wedding itself consumes: the venue, rooms, décor, catering, artists, photography, transport and guest hospitality. The fee is published. The second part is not, because it depends on choices the family has not yet made.
Gātha's fee is tiered by the overall investment in the wedding. It begins at Rs 2,00,000 for weddings of Rs 30 to 60 lakh, Rs 3,00,000 for weddings of Rs 60 lakh to 1 crore, and Rs 5,00,000 for weddings of Rs 1 crore and above. Venue, décor and vendor costs sit inside the family's own budget, and they are shown line by line so that you can see where the money is going. Gātha does not take weddings with a total investment under Rs 30 lakh, and this page gives no price for the venue, décor or catering side because those figures vary too widely to state honestly.
Five choices that move the total
Where two Rajasthan weddings of the same guest count end up at very different totals, the cause is almost always one of these.
| Choice | How it moves the total | What to ask |
|---|---|---|
| City | Changes the venue stock, the supplier base and how far everything must travel | Which suppliers are local and which must be brought in? |
| Venue type | A palace or fort has its own minimums, rules and fixed charges; a resort lawn shifts costs to décor | What is included in the venue fee, and what is charged on top? |
| Season | Winter peak dates carry the highest demand; off-peak dates give room to negotiate but bring heat or rain | Does the rate change on weekdays and between months? |
| Guest count and stay | Rooms, meals, transfers and hampers all scale with each guest | How many rooms can you hold, and at what terms? |
| Number and scale of functions | Each extra function repeats set-up, décor and catering | Which functions can share a venue or a set-up? |
Change one row and the total moves. Change three and it can move by more than the planning fee itself.
If you are comparing quotes, put them in a single sheet with the same guest count, the same number of nights and the same programme. A quote that looks lower often leaves out rooms, power, staff charges or transport that another quote includes.

Begin your application →How the four cities compare on cost drivers
This is a comparison of what pushes cost up or down in each city, not a ranking of price. Rates change by property and by date, so treat each line as a prompt for a quotation.
Udaipur
Lakeside and palace-style settings are the draw, and the best-placed dates and venues are in demand. Water-edge ceremonies, boat arrivals and lit facades can add to the set-up. The page on Udaipur destination wedding cost goes deeper on this.
Jaipur
A large city with many hotels and a broad supplier base, so more of the work can be sourced locally. Large receptions and processions raise the scale of the event rather than the travel. See the Jaipur destination wedding cost page.
Jodhpur
Fort and courtyard settings need less decoration but often come with firm venue rules and a limited number of rooms per property. The cost question is usually how many guests one property can house, and what a second property adds in transfers.
Jaisalmer
The distance is the driver. Supplies, teams and equipment may need to be brought from other cities, and guests travel further. Camp-style stays are priced and built very differently from town hotels, so ask for the exact room type and what is included.
Guest travel and stay is the line families underestimate
It is easy to look at venue and décor quotes and forget that every guest also has to arrive, sleep, eat and leave. In a destination wedding that is a large line, and it rises with distance. Rajasthan guests from Pune, Mumbai, Gujarat or abroad rarely arrive on the same day or by the same route.
- Decide early who the family pays for: everyone, the close family only, or travel booked by guests with stay arranged by the family.
- Count the rooms before the guests, then ask each property how many it can hold for your dates.
- Price transfers for arrival days and for each function that is away from the guest stay.
- Ask whether a second property is needed, and what shuttles that implies.
The guide to destination wedding guest accommodation covers room planning in more detail.
How to get a number you can plan with
Do this in order and the total stops being a guess.
- Fix a guest count range and the number of functions before you speak to venues.
- Shortlist one city and two venue types, rather than all four cities.
- Ask each venue for a written, itemised quotation for the same dates and the same programme, so that the quotes compare like for like.
- Ask the planner to place those quotes in one sheet beside décor, catering, artists and travel.
- Hold a reserve for changes. Do not spend the whole figure at the first meeting.
Gātha does this as part of its planning, and the quotations from venues and vendors are shown to the family in full.
