Gātha's planning fee for a Goa wedding starts at Rs 2,00,000 onwards for weddings of Rs 30 to 60 lakh, Rs 3,00,000 onwards for Rs 60 lakh to 1 crore, and Rs 5,00,000 onwards for Rs 1 crore and above. It covers design, planning and direction. Venue, décor and vendor costs sit in the family's own budget.
Goa destination wedding cost: why this page prints no total
The Goa destination wedding cost depends on a handful of decisions, and a total quoted without them is not worth much. A hundred guests over one evening and three hundred guests over four days are different events with different bills, even at the same venue.
This page does not print venue, catering or travel amounts, because Gātha has not confirmed any to publish. The one published figure is the planning fee, set out below. What the page can do is show which decisions move the total, in what direction, and what to ask so that two quotes can be compared fairly.
Gātha is a boutique planner in Pune that takes a limited number of weddings each year. Its brief for Goa is the same as anywhere else: design, planning and direction, with the family's own budget carrying the venue, décor and vendors.
The cost drivers of a Goa wedding
The table lists the drivers in the order most families feel them. It describes direction and questions, not rupee amounts.
| Driver | What changes it | What to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Guest count | Every guest adds food, seating, transport and, for those staying, a room | Is the quote per guest, and at what guest count does it change? |
| Functions and days | Each function needs its own set-up, music, menu and staff | Which functions does the quote include, and what happens if we add one? |
| Season and dates | Cooler months are the peak wedding season; the monsoon runs from about June to September | Does the price change across dates, and what is the date-hold policy? |
| Venue type | A beach resort, a villa, a heritage property and a resort lawn price their spaces differently | What is included in the venue fee, and what is charged on top? |
| Guest travel and stay | Room blocks, airport and station transfers, and movement between functions | How many rooms are held at what terms, and what happens to unused ones? |
| Décor scale | Stage size, floral volume, lighting and bespoke installations | Is the design approved on drawings before production begins? |
| Artists and entertainment | Live music, DJs and anchors, and any travel they need | Are artist travel and stay in the fee or separate? |
| Food and bar | Menu style, number of meals, and the alcohol policy of the venue | Is the venue's caterer compulsory, and what are the bar terms? |
| Taxes and service charges | Venues and vendors often quote before taxes or service charges | Is this figure inclusive of everything, in writing? |

Begin your application →How season and dates shape a Goa quote
Goa's monsoon runs roughly from June to September, and the cooler months are the peak wedding season. Families choosing the busy months should expect good dates to close early. Peak-season and destination dates are often closed a year ahead, which leaves little room to negotiate.
Dates outside the peak months can be easier to secure, but they come with weather questions. Ask any venue what the rain plan is, how much of the ceremony it covers, and who pays for the change if the plan is used. The venue checklist in the guide to wedding venues in Goa goes through these questions in full.
Gātha's planning fee for a Goa wedding
The planning fee is tiered by the overall investment in the wedding:
- Rs 2,00,000 onwards for weddings of Rs 30 to 60 lakh
- Rs 3,00,000 onwards for weddings of Rs 60 lakh to 1 crore
- Rs 5,00,000 onwards for weddings of Rs 1 crore and above
The fee pays for design, planning and direction. Venue, décor and vendor costs sit inside the family's own budget and are shown transparently. Gātha does not publish a fixed Goa package, so there is no package price on this page. The wedding planner cost guide explains how percentage and flat-fee models differ and how to read a planner's quote.

Searching for a Goa wedding under 5, 10, 15 or 20 lakh
Many families arrive at this page from searches such as destination wedding in Goa under 10 lakhs, or under 20 lakhs. It is better to say this plainly now than after an application: Gātha takes weddings with a total budget from Rs 30 lakh, and the fee floor is Rs 2,00,000. A Goa wedding planned for 5, 10, 15 or 20 lakh in total is outside what Gātha takes on.
That is not a verdict on whether such a wedding is possible. Whether a given sum is enough depends on the guest list and the number of functions, and this page cannot know either. A smaller wedding can be done well. Families in that position tend to get further by doing the following:
- Fix the guest count first, and treat it as the main lever on the total.
- Hold fewer functions, or hold them at one property so that nothing needs moving.
- Ask each venue for an itemised quote in writing, with taxes and service charges shown.
- Ask what the venue allows in terms of outside decorators and caterers, and what it charges for them.
- Ask whether dates away from the peak weeks are open and priced differently.
For a wedding of Rs 30 lakh or more in total, the application page is the next step.
How to compare two Goa quotes
Two quotes that look different are often quoting different things. Before comparing totals, put the quotes side by side and check the basics: the guest count each is based on, the number of functions, whether rooms are included, whether taxes and service charges are included, and what is charged for outside vendors.
Then look at the payment schedule and the cancellation terms, which matter more for a destination wedding because the family cannot easily re-plan close to the date. If a quote is a single total with no breakdown, ask for the breakdown before saying yes.
When Gātha manages vendors, venue, décor and vendor costs are shown transparently, so the family can see what is being paid for. To apply for planning, use the application page. The team replies within two working days.
